In our latest project, Implexus built an Unreal Engine based Digital Twin providing real-time temperature data visualizations of the Argonne National Laboratory's METL Facility. This digital twin allows engineers at ANL to view the nuclear testing loop's live absolute and relative temperature readings. Engineers can view it either on their computer, or in a virtual environment with the Meta Quest Pro. This digital twin enables the laboratory to quickly view any outlying temperature readings indicating a potential malfunction. Temperature readings are historically displayed in a graph or chart form in traditional software. The digital twin provides a 3D realized space displaying the data. Implexus used an Unreal Engine plugin called Datasculpt to accomplish the color gradation and temperature displays.
